Kirsten Muller
Kirsten currently serves as the University Tax Director. She joined the University Tax Management Office in 2011 as Senior Tax Manager and then as Assistant Tax Director. She came from the University of St. Thomas where she worked in the Controller’s Office for twelve years as the Tax and Compliance Director. Prior to St. Thomas, Kirsten worked in public accounting for Coopers and Lybrand and then PricewaterhouseCoopers in the tax practice, primarily serving tax-exempt organizations.
Kirsten has a JD from DePaul University College of Law and a BA in mathematics from St. Olaf College. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Alyssa Lundberg
Alyssa joined the University Tax Management Office in December 2021 as a Senior Tax Analyst. Prior to joining the University she spent 10 years in public accounting where her primary focus was tax compliance, consulting and planning for many different industries and entity types.
Alyssa is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the AICPA and the Minnesota Society of CPAs. She has a BS in both accounting and finance from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse.

Elizabeth Beerman
Elizabeth joined the University Tax Management Office in August 2022 as a Senior Tax Analyst. Her career prior to joining the University has focused on tax research and analysis for a wide range of clients, most recently at a public accounting firm.
Elizabeth holds a JD from the University of Michigan and an LLM in Taxation from the University of Florida.

Israel Jardin
Israel joined the University Tax Management Office in May 2025 as a Senior Tax Accountant. Prior to joining the University, he spent 4 years at CliftonLarsonAllen in the exempt tax practice, with an industry focus on higher ed tax compliance. He is also a University of Minnesota alumni, graduated in May 2021 with a BS in Accounting, and a former student worker at the Tax Management Office, helping support the unit with its administrative processes and tax projects.

Parking is available in the Gopher Lot, located behind the University Office Plaza Building, also off of 23rd Ave SE, and next to TCF Bank Stadium. Map to parking lots.
With department authorization, University of Minnesota employees may charge parking in the Gopher Lot to an EFS number by using a special keycard.
