The University Survey Advisory Team (U-SAT) governs surveys at the University of Minnesota and includes representatives from University Survey and Assessment Services (USAS), along with the Office of Institutional Research, the Office of Undergraduate Education, Graduate School, and the College of Liberal Arts. 

U-SAT works to address survey fatigue and survey-related issues at the University of Minnesota. It is recommended that you work with U-SAT to identify the best time of the year to administer your survey to facilitate maximum engagement. 

You can fill out the Approval and Assistance Request Form to: 

• Determine if you project is eligible to survey university faculty, staff, and/or students 
• Request a contact list from University Data and Institutional Reporting (UDIR)
• Request institutional data from UDIR for data that has already been collected
• Find a date to administer your survey
