The Office of Institutional Research (OIR) at the University of Minnesota collects and analyzes data to provide information for institutional planning, policy formation, and decision-making. Among OIR's primary responsibilities is ensuring the integrity of the data it provides to University decision-makers, governmental agencies, and other internal and external constituencies.
The Office of Measurement Services (OMS) has been in the business of data collection, processing, analysis and reporting for over 85 years. Our diverse specialty areas include survey research, student rating of teaching, course exam scoring, and K-12 assessment.
